From the ones with really long neck like giraffes, to the ones with seemingly no neck like whales, most mammals have exactly 7 cervical vertebrae. That’s a number easy to remember!
From Wikipedia, the few exceptions are the manatee (6), the two-toed sloth (5 or 6), and the three-toed sloth (9).
